Ahead of the Saturday governorship election, a former Attorney General of Abia state and the Obi-Datti campaign coordinator in the state, Chief Umeh Kalu, SAN, has said that Dr. Alex Otti, the governorship candidate of Labour Party is the right man for the job of ‘fixing the rot in the state’.
“Alex Otti has the capacity to govern Abia State. He had a ranking flourishing career and he decided to resign to come and rescue Abia because he also saw the rot in Abia.
“we want someone who has character, competence; someone who has character. Abia is in a deep trouble” Umeh stated.
Umeh in an interaction with ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER on Wednesday, noted that the level of rot in the state added to his decision to leave Abia state government in 2019, resolving that he will join forces to ensure that the state gets fixed.
He regretted that medical workers, civil servants, pensioners and others have been owed for years while the Internally generated revenue of Abia state “are being shared among a few persons”.
“Abia does not have a government house for years, the SSG and judges do not have a residential area.
“Umuahia is not as it should be; the roads are not motorable; no town in Abia state has pipe borne water; you have to drill your borehole by yourself.
“no good hospital in Abia state; medical workers, pensioners, civil servants are owed for years, nothing is happening in Abia.
“Abia has been where it has been because of godfatherism’ he said.
Speaking further on the forthcoming governorship election, Umeh warned against thuggery and violence, adding that those who has already made plans to rig the election will meet their waterloo.
He called on Abians to vote of Alex Otti assuring that with his experiences and connections, he will not disappoint Abians.
“Abians the time to take over your state is on Saturday. Come out and vote Alex Otti, he is the only man who has the capacity, he will not disappoint. He has the experience and connections to get Abia out of the woods” Umeh added. WATCH VIDEO BELOW:
