Troops Pursue Fleeing IPOB Fighters, Arrest One, Recover Additional Weapons (PHOTOS)
Over the weekend, the 63 Brigade troops, operating under the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, successfully destroyed an enclave belonging to IPOB (Indigenous People of Biafra) / ESN (Eastern Security Network) located in a forested high ground in Asaba.
During their pursuit of the fleeing IPOB fighters, the troops apprehended one injured fighter and also seized various items from the criminals.
These items include four motorcycles, four double-barrel guns, five AK 47 magazines, 18 rounds of live 7.62mm special ammunition, six mobile phones, two power banks, six Boafeng communication radios along with chargers, an Android phone, one HP laptop, 13 IPOB flags, one power generator set, one gas cylinder, IPOB uniforms and accessories, and five improvised explosives.
Additionally, they recovered two ATM cards and a wristwatch from the scene.
