The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has frowned at the administration of President Bola Tinubu’s preference to use billions of naira to purchase SUVs for Senators and the office of the first lady.

Addressing a world press conference in Abuja on Monday, Obi lamented that Nigerians are in trouble with the policies of President Tinubu whom he said, his administration is uncaring.

Obi queried why the government should inject money into irrelevant things when most Nigerians can no longer afford a one square meal and others now eat from the waste bin.

“The purchase of official vehicles is the greatest height of insensitivity.

“Most of these people already have cars; they don’t need new ones. Most of the senators were former governors like me” Obi stated.

He noted that instead of wasting money, the government should invest in the health and education sector.
