President Bola Tinubu has mourned soldiers who died as a result of the crash of an aircraft belonging to the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) in Chukuba community, Shiroro Local Government Area, of Niger State.
ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had reported that an MI 171 Air Force Helicopter on an evacuation mission of casualties of bandits’ ambush of Soldiers in Zenguru, Wushishi LGA of the state, crashed on Monday.
Reacting to the tragic event, Tinubu in a statement on Tuesday regretted that the soldiers had to die while discharging their duty.
He noted that the slain soldiers would always be remembered as courageous and national heroes who sacrificed their lives to ensure that others live in peace.
“……These officers and men were answering the call of duty while on an evacuation mission. In their dedicated service to our beloved country, they paid the ultimate price.
“…we salute their sacrifice, devotion and loyalty to our dear nation, the nation they loved and served to the end” Tinubu’s statement read in parts.
