His Excellency, Yahaya Bello, the Governor of Kogi State has warned people from taking COVID-19 vaccines, alleging that some people are trying to introduce strange diseases with the introduction of the vaccine. The Governor stated this in a video widely spreading on facebook on Sunday morning

“…They want to use the (COVID-19) vaccines to introduce the disease that will kill you and us. God forbid!” Mr Bello said.

The governor based his claims on the recent COVID-19 vaccines currently being rolled out in nearly 50 countries globally on the breakneck speed at which they were developed. The Governor claims the vaccines were produced less than one year of Covid-19 and questions the speed at which it came out as there has not been vaccines yet for HIV, Malaria, Cancer and several diseases that are killing the people. He called on people to draw their minds on what happened during the polio vaccines that crippled and killed children and advises them to learn from it.

“If they say they are taking the vaccines in the public allow them take their vaccines. Don’t say I said you should not take it but if you want to take it open your eyes before you take the vaccines,” he said.

Governor Bello had earlier denied the existence of Covid-19, stating that the disease was a scam.
