Guber Election: See Full Results Of 16 LGAs Announced In Abia State

After the Saturday, March 18 governorship election held in Abia state, sixten Local Government Area results have been presented at the Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC) headquarter office in Umuahia, the capital of the state.

The collation of results commenced on Sunday, March 19, with 10 results presented. Continuing on Monday, six LGA results were announced, however, Obingwa LGA result was suspended.

According to a letter signed by INEC Secretary, Mrs Rose Omoa Oriaran-Anthony and addressed to the administrative secretary of the Commission in Abia, Mr. Clement Ohia, a team will be in Abia state on Tuesday, March 21, to review the election process in Obingwa.

“a team led by a National Commissioner will be in Abia state from tomorrow (Tuesday) to conduct the necessary reviewing for the process to be concluded” the letter read in part.

Recall that INEC had raised alarm on Sunday, saying that thugs invaded their Obingwa LGA office during collation of results.

From the results announced so far, Dr Alex Otti of the Labour Party is leading.
