Ahead of the 2023 election, the Abia state governorship candidate of Labour Party, Dr. Alex Otti has reiterated his commitment to rebuild the economy of the state.
Ferdinand Ekeoma who is the spokesperson of the Alex Otti Campaign Organization stated this during an interactive on AF-TELEVISION programme tagged “Time Out With Alex Otti’s Team”.

According to him, revitalizing the economy of the state is central in his principal’s manifesto which was presented during Labour Party mega rally at Ngwa High School in Aba on November 10.
“If you go to his manifesto, you will see where he talked about clearing backlog of salaries and pensions owed to Abia workers within his one year in office because he understands that people will not feel the impact of governance if they do not have money in their hands”
“He will ensure he’s up to date with salary payment as it would empower people with spending power which when ejected into the economy, will make the economy robust”
Dwelling on the manifesto, Ekeoma said “Alex Otti manifesto is a reflection of who he is, his vision and preparedness to get Abia on a better path unlike others who it was packaged for them.
“It is easy to package a manifesto, but if you are not prepared or have what it takes, no matter how beautiful the manifesto is, it would not take long for people to realize that what is in the manifesto didn’t originate from you or does it in any way reflect the character of the person”
He affirmed that Otti will actualize what is contained in his manifesto by utilizing the resources of the state to work for the people.
“He (Otti) is a man synonymous with performance, excellence, great accomplishment, he cannot suddenly become a disaster overnight because he understands what is at stake. He has always been consistent in pursuit of this project and his antecedent attests to the fact that he always delivers” he added.
