ABIA: Peter Obi Sympathises With Ariaria Traders Affected By Fire Outbreak, Calls For Help
The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Mr. Peter Obi, has called on the Abia state government, concerned individuals and other institutions to help traders of the Powerline section of Ariaria International market, Aba, Abia state, who are victims of the Saturday night, July 8 fire incident get back to their feets.
Obi while regretting the incident noted that it is painful for anyone to lose goods worth millions of naira in the present poor economic situation in the country.
Peter Obi’s Tweet read in part;
“I am saddened by the reports of a fire incident at Powerline Market, Aba, Abia State, which destroyed goods worth millions of Naira. Sad occurrences like this become even more painful when you consider the very challenging economic times that the nation is currently passing through”.
