PDP DEPOPULATE: Party’s woes continues as prominent Board of Trustees member resigns from party
Mr. Charles Idahosa, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State and a member of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), has tendered his resignation from the party.
In a letter titled “Letter of Resignation” addressed to the chairman of Ehor Ward I of the PDP in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State, Idahosa officially announced his decision to quit the party.
The letter was also copied to various party officials, including the chairman of the BoT, the South-south National Vice Chairman, the state chairman, and the Uhunmwonde Local Government Area chairman of the party.
In his letter, Idahosa expressed his gratitude to the PDP community for their support and camaraderie during his service.
He cited personal contemplation and reflection on his political journey as the basis for his decision to resign from the PDP and his role in the BoT.
Despite his departure, Idahosa affirmed his commitment to upholding the values and principles guiding his political engagement thus far.
“Throughout my tenure within the Peoples Democratic Party, I have been privileged to contribute to its vision and mission. However, after careful consideration, I believe it is time for me to pursue new paths and opportunities beyond the party’s confines.
“I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the PDP community for their unwavering support and camaraderie during my time of service.
“I remain committed to upholding the values and principles that have guided my political engagement thus far. I look forward to new avenues of growth and contribution, and I extend my best wishes to the PDP as it continues its important work,” he said in the letter.
Idahosa is a former local government area chairman and political adviser to former Edo state governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
