Otti Signs Abia Governorship Peace Accord In Umuahia, Restates Commitment To Peace | SEE PHOTOS

The Labour Party (LP) gubernatorial candidate in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, attended the signing of the ‘Abia Governorship Peace Accord’ in Umuahia, the state capital earlier today.

 

The event which had some other governorship candidates in attendance, also featured the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Abia State INEC Resident Commissioner, Prof. Ike Ugochukwu, leadership of Muslim community in the state , and the representatives of the Abia State Commissioner of Police and Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), was organized by Abia State 2023 Governorship Candidates Interface Organizing Committee constituted by CAN Abia State Chapter, chaired by Apostle Chuks Alozie, and held at Methodist Theological Institute Mission Hill Umuahia.

It was a moment of mutual agreement by the governorship candidates, who signed for a peaceful, free, fair and credible election, denouncing any form of acts of violence in the state. The candidates vowed to ensure total peace before, during and after the elections.

Otti who physically attended the event was equally awarded a ‘certificate of participation’ for his participation in the ‘Abia State Governorship Candidates Interface Programme’ organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Giving Vote of Thanks, Dr. Otti thanked everyone who was present and restated his commitment to keeping to the Peace Accord.

Dr. Alex Otti was accompanied to the event by other Labour Party candidates and party chieftains.
