(Opinion): Is Isuikwuato PDP Planning To Fail Again? – Ogbonna

0

What is happening to Isuikwuato PDP? Is it intentional or are outside forces trying to further destroy the party in Isuikwuato? Is it going to be a repeat of the 2019 experience where person(s) not qualified and till date never ready to run a Councillorship election was drafted in to run for the Federal House which the result showed that he did not and can’t win his polling unit?.

The great philosopher Socratics said “man know thy self” a people should know and cherish themselves.

It is near obvious that our party is trying to make a costly mistake at this critical time. Adding to it is our local parlance which says that a dog that is destined to die does not heed to the sound of the hunters whistle or the dog destined to die that the death does not allows the dog passive the smell of faeces. ‘ONWU NA EGBU NKITA ANAGI EKWE YA INU ISE’. I can remember vividly in the history of politics of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and in Isuikwuato, all other political parties will always wait for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to conclude its primaries in other to make the PDP fallouts their candidates or is the reverse now the case? And never in the history of PDP that I know has the PDP gone shopping for people to fly its flags talk less at the eleventh hour? Has the Isuikwuato PDP run out of competent persons?

Today we hear of the PDP Isuikwuato or those advising the powers that be to draft in an All Progressive Congress (APC) person who from history has never won any election and lacks the capacity to do so in his personal name and not of his brother who has not either have the experience of party politics; organization or relationship with his people and the people of Isuikwuato who on passing any market square in his own village cannot be recognized by his people physically except on social media for propaganda. A Person(s) who was displaced in his own internal party rangling. Is he that popular? he should have the capacity to win the primary election in his own party or even make an attempt. The last time we heard he made an attempt, he said that he didn’t know where and how the primaries where conducted in his own party, in his own house? Now the person who displaced and is pushing him out of the party is that same person he is wanting to challenge from another party? How can he win, with whose effort? If he cannot win or survive in his own party with the names, and claims of the people he knows at the federal level both in his party presidency, National Assembly and the judiciary. How can he now claim to have the capacity to win from another party? What a strange calculation and gamble that the PDP wants to engage in come 2023 election.

My question is and repeatedly is, is PDP in Isuikwuato dead or presumed dead? These agents of destruction will turn around in future when the did is done to say that PDP in Isuikwuato is dead or weak and has no capacity to win elections and that Isuikwuato voted and is for the opposition. Let me sound this as a note of advice to the good people of my party PDP. If a person is brought from another party and imposed on the party or any person from within is imposed on the party. Be sure that the PDP will lose both the State and National Assembly elections and consequently other related elections like what happened in 2019.

With this I think I have spoken the mind of the people of Isuikwuato. I will not fail to touch on a vital issue bothering me based on a write up I read on the internet and unfortunately the author is unknown.

This issue borders on the voting strength of Isuikwuato vis-a-vis Uturu. Please let no one either within or outside Isuikwuato Local Government Area try to destroy the cordial political, social, religious and cultural peace within the people of Isuikwuato and Uturu their brother. To State the obvious Uturu is never more populated than Isuikwuato and in terms of voting have never out voted Isuikwuato in any election since the inception of politics. I will not like to drag our own people into an unnecessary argument because the facts are their both with the National Population Commission, INEC, Churches and Markets except for an unrealizable voting strength in ABSU which have never reflected in any election and the students Residing in different communities in Uturu who always go home during elections. Only the population of Oguduasa in Isuikwuato is more than the entire Uturu population, so, it worries me when some people try to sell or paint the picture that Uturus anywhere near Isuikwuato in terms of population and i don’t want anybody to continue this argument at all unless the Isuikwuato people will be forced to demonstrate its strength again which they partially did in 2015 which made the difference. Please let us not put our strength and weaknesses in public space.

“A word is enough for the wise” let us maintain the peaceful co-existence between Isuikwuato and Uturu and play politics based on Issues, Manifestos and Capacities and not on falsehood and propaganda.

My good people of PDP, I advise you to look inwards and within and choose or elect candidates for both the state and National Assembly and other positions on time and start preparing for the General Elections for 2023.

Because, the consequences of importing any person to fly the flag of the party in any of the elctions, will spell doom for the party and its negative consequences will not heal even until 2027.

I will stop here for now.
