Nnamdi Kanu’s Release Will Make Igbos Happy – Iwuanyanwu To Buhari

The newly elected President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Speaking on Sunday during the Imeobi meeting held at the old Government House Lodge, Enugu State, Iwuanyanwu noted that Kanu should be released as ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction, adding that his release would make the Igbos happy.

He also cited the deteriorating health condition of the leader of the separatist group, and pleaded that he be released to have access to adequate medical attention.

In Iwuanyanwu’s words;

“It is also important to note that the judiciary has discharged and freed Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It will be the joy of many Igbo people and Nigerians to see Mazi Nnamdi Kanu released from detention.

“There is also a report that his health is deteriorating. I feel it is important that he is released to have access to his medical doctors so that he does not die in prison.”
