Nigerian Police Officer, Juliet Ukah Breaks Record, Beats South Africa To Emerge African EFC Mixed Martial Arts Champion
A female officer in the Nigerian Police Force, Juliet Ukah, has beaten South Africa’s Crystal Van Wyk to emerge champion in the African Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC).
The fight which took place on Thursday 13th April 2023, in Johannesburg, South Africa, was a 3-Round bout and Juliet, a multi-dexterous Combat Athlete emerged winner by Unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27).
Before Thursday’s fight, South Africa’s Crystal Van Wyk was undefeated in Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC).
Juliet had on Saturday, April 22, defeated Clodia Vochung Shivabo (IMBGIM FC) of Cameroun.
PC Juliet is one of two Police Female MMA Fighters recently released by IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CFR, for a 6-Week Professional Training Tour in Thailand.

The Inspector-General of Police in a statement released on Friday by Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, congratulated the officer for the feat and acknowledges the contributions of the Nigeria Police Force to sports development in the country.
The IGP commended the officer for making the Nigeria Police Force, and by extension, the nation proud. The IGP further promised to continually discover and showcase new talents in the Police.
