MED. LABORATORY SCIENTISTS HOLDS ANNUAL CONFERENCE, RAISES OVER N100M FOR NAT. SECRETARIAT (PHOTOS)

Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria held her Annual Scientific Conference/Fund Raising of 750 Million National Secretariat Building at plot 672 Durumi one FCT Abuja.

A release jointly signed by Mr. Bassey E. Bassey the National President and Chief Nwaka Inem Chairman Fund Raising Committee puts the venue at International Conference Centre Abuja, while time was 6pm prompt.

According to the release, the event which ran between 2nd to 6th of September 2019, says the Member Representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole will be the Guest of Honor at the occasion, while the Chief Presenter will be Chief Charles Anyanwu, Chairman/CEO, DCL Laboratory Ltd.

Abia Facts News gathered that the event was graced by numerous prominent Nigerians including the DG of NIMASA, Hon. Dr. Dakuku Peterside who happens to be a medical laboratory professional.

During the event, Dakuku Peterside called on all Laboratory Scientist to team up and raise the bar of the profession, he maintained that if they can all come together, it will be easy to promote the profession and achieve anything they intend to achieve as an organization.

While speaking with the chairman of the fund raising, Chief Nwaka Inem, he emphasized that the National Secretariat Building will symbolize the image of the organization, will also provide offices for different officers of the professional organization and likewise help in the effective management of the organization.

He also revealed that with a national secretariat, the standards of the profession can easily be promoted and also implemented.

He therefore called on all members to team up and make the national secretariat a reality by remedying all pledges and donations gathered during the event.  

The national president of the organization, Mr. Bassey E. Bassey joined other dignitaries to call on Medical Laboratory Scientists to upheld the standard of the profession and discourage quacks. He also urged prominent Nigerians to support the organization.

On the side of the Chief Presenter, Chief Charles Anyanwu, Chairman/CEO, DCL Laboratory Ltd, he urged members to make the National Secretariat a reality.

Over One hundred Million naira was raised as pledges and donations, even as responses are still expected from friends and members of the profession who couldn’t make the event.
