A man was on Monday, May 24, arrested for stealing bunch of plantain in Bayelsa state.
The suspect who was caught in Ebedebiri, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, claimed he stole the plantain to raise money for his girlfriend’s makeup.
While being interrogated by a community leader, Peres Double, the suspect said his girlfriend asked him for N10,000 for makeup and had given him a deadline.
He said the deadline was so frustrating that he had to enter people’s farm to harvest their plantain in a bid to raise money for his girlfriend
The suspect pleaded with the community leadership to forgive him, adding that he does not want to loose his girlfriend.
