JUST IN: APC National Youth Leader accuses military of conniving with PDP to rig Bayelsa election
Dayo Israel, the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has raised concerns about alleged irregularities in the collation process in Brass Local Government Area and Southern Ijaw in Bayelsa State.
Israel contends that the proper procedure mandates that votes be collated at the Local Government Area (LGA) level before being transported to the State Collation Center.
In a post on X, he accused the Governor of collaborating with a faction of the Armed Forces to move results directly from the ward to Yenagoa, potentially facilitating manipulation.
His words:
”The illegality PDP is planning in Brass LGA and Southern Ijaw must not stand. The procedure is for votes to be collated at the LGA before being brought to the State Collation center.
”Why is the Governor conniving with a part of the Armed forces to move result from ward to Yenagoa so they can manipulate the result.
”APC is leading in Southern Ijaw and Brass and coasting to victory in Bayelsa, God willing. Our imminent victory must not be compromised or negotiated.”
