The member representing Aba south Constituency, Hon. Obinna Ichita, has expressed bitterness on the fight by some persons over the replacement of late Hon. Ossy Prestige just few days after his death.
Ichita in a release today, said it is insensitive for some persons to discuss succession other than mourning the deceased member.
In his word; “ I find it rather strange and disturbing that some persons seem to view the death of this quintessential legislator from the prism of an opportunity for them to climb a certain height as if they were waiting for him to pass on”.
He described the haste for a replacement as shameful and nauseating.
He further said; “ rather than dwell on this unfortunate chapter of succession at his point in time, our energy should be channelled towards praying for a smooth and successful repatriation of his remains back to Nigeria so we can lay him to rest.”
Ichita asked those playing “dirty politics” to count him out.
“in your insensitive permutations and dirty politics, please count me out for I am not interested” he said.
The death of the member representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ossy Chinedu Prestige was announced on Tuesday February 9.
