Isuikwuato/Umunneochi: Onyejeocha Makes Another Dramatic Move, Seeks To Sack Amobi Ogah Through Kano Judgement | SEE DOCUMENT
As the battle for the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal House of Representative seat is getting more dramatic, the former honorable member representing the federal constituency Honorable Nkeiruka Onyejeocha has appealed to be joined in the Kano Federal High Court judgement appeal that purportedly nullified Labour Party Primaries all in the bid to sack Honorable Amobi Godwin Ogah.
Recall that Justice M. N. Yunusa J. while giving judgement in a Suit filed by one Ibrahim Haruna Ibrahim (FHC/KN/CS/107/2023) seeking the disqualification of all elected candidates of Labour Party, declared that; the Labour Party has carried on with its activities in the selection of its candidates for the general election in a manner that is at variance with mandatory provisions of the Electoral Act 2022 which renders its participation in the general election of 2023 in Kano state and the rest of the 35 states of the federation including FCT as null and void.
In her appeal to join the appeal of the judgement, she is demanding for some sections of the judgement to be scrapped, while insisting that she should be declared the winner of the election as the first runner up since the court has nullified the primaries of the LP.
In the notice of Appeal: CA/KN/EP/02/2023), dated May 22, 2023, obtained by ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, Otti through his legal counsel, Lateef Fagbemi & Co.,Temitope Chambers, expressed dissatisfaction over the Justice M. Honorable Onyejeocha is currently in the tribunal against Honorable Amobi Ogah and in this case also seeking the nullification of the victory of Honorable Ogah through the judgement of the FHC in Kano.
