INEC Reacts To It’s Alleged Appointment Of A Partisan ICT Head | READ DETAILS
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has refuted allegations that it appointed one Mr Femi Odubiyi, a former Commissioner in Lagos State as the Head of it’s ICT unit.
Chief Olabode George, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had on Sunday, alleged that before the recently concluded presidential election, INEC appointed Mr. Odubiyi an associate of Bola Tinubu, the president-elect and former Commissioner for Science and Technology in Lagos state as the Head of the Commission’s ICT unit.
Reacting, INEC through a statement released on Tuesday by Festus Okoye, National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, refuted the claims, stating that the Commission has no one bearing Mr Femi Odubiyi in the Commission’s ICT department in any of it’s headquarters nor state offices.
