Imo Police Summon Ihedioha, Ex- Deputy, Ikenga Ugochinyere | READ WHY
The Imo state Police command has summoned a former governor of Imo state, Honourable Emeka Ihedioha, his deputy; Honourable Gerald Irona and House of Representatives member-elect cum Spokesperson of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), Ikenga Ugochiyere Imo.
The summon of the trio was contained in a letter signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of administration in the state, Ukachi Opara, and addressed to the Imo state PDP chairman, Engineer Charles Ugwu, on Wednesday.
The invitees are asked to appear on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the State Criminal Bureau of the police command over an alleged case of murder, kidnapping and arson.
The letter dated March 13, 2023, bearing the subject “Re: a case of murder, kidnapping, and arson” read;
“The office of State Intelligence Bureau, Imo State Police Command, state headquarters Owerri, is investigating the above-underlined matter involving several notable members of Peoples Democratic Party, Imo State chapter.”
“The Commissioner of Police, Imo state command requests you come along with the following persons, Emeka Ihedioha, Ugochinyere Ikenga Imo, Gerald Irona, to interview the commissioner of police, through the officer in charge of State Intelligence Bureau, Owerri date Thursday, 16th March 2023, time 10:00 prompt.”
