The Labour Party candidate for the Aba North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Emeka Nnamani has dismissed views from opposition parties that he is ineligible to contest for the position. He revealed that he is a major stakeholder in Aba and that he is even more qualified than other people contesting. WATCH VIDEO BELOW:
His opponents had alleged that Nnamani is not from the Aba, hence he should not contest for the position.
However, during an Exclusive Interaction on ALL FACTS TELEVISION, Nnamani who is the Managing Director of Enitona Group stated that as one who is born and bred in the city (Aba), he is very much qualified to represent the constituency.
“I was born here, I school here, I have businesses here in Aba where 300 people are gainfully employed and I pay my taxes here in Aba”
According to him, unlike him, those of his opponents who do not stay or operate their businesses in the industrious and commercial city of Abia State, adding that he believes in Aba than them.
“The most important thing is that we are all Igbos, and if Igbos are given opportunities to go to the Federal House in Lagos, why can’t I that have lived all my life in Aba not represent them”
“The Constitution allows me to even contest for governorship of the state, and I have no limit to what I can do here for as long as, it is within the parameters of the constitution,” he said.
