How 17-Year-Old Student Lured, Robbed Man Of N1.5m In Lagos | READ DETAILS
One Victory Ehiremen, a 17-year-old female student of the Osun State University, Ikire campus, has been arrested alongside her boyfriend, Ayobami Ariyo, for allegedly robbing a man of N1.5million.
Parading the suspects on Wednesday, at the state police command headquarters, Osogbo, the state Commissioner of Police, Kehinde Longe, said Ehiremen met the victim on social media a few days before the incident.
After chatting for days on the social media, she allegedly lured the man from Lagos to Osun state. On arrival, Ehiremen lured the victim to her boyfriend’s house where he was allegedly attacked and N1.5m transferred from his bank account.
“Immediately the case was reported, police detectives swung into action and arrested one Ariyo Ayobami from his hideout.
“Preliminary investigation led to the arrest of the two other accomplices. Efforts are ongoing to arrest other culprits while the suspects will be charged to court after the completion of the investigation,” the Commissioner said.
Speaking to newsmen, Ehiremen denied knowing that her boyfriend forcefully obtained money from her visitor. According to her, Ayobami and his friends forcefully gained entrance into her room when she was with the victim and the started beating him.
She added that she met the victim via WhatsApp and added that her boyfriend, who she claimed engaged in Internet fraud, gave her N40, 000 gift two days after the incident.
