The member representing Aba North/South Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Prestige Ossy has distributed Tricycles to the physically challenged to enable them fend for themselves and their families.
Speaking while distributing the Tricycles to the beneficiaries, Hon. Prestige explained that in line with the culture and tradition of his office, he is giving gifts to some people who have in one way or the other added value to the struggle to give Aba North/South a better representation.
He said the physically challenged are so dear to him, stressing that the empowerment will help them to provide food daily for their families.
The law maker hinted that he has been able to empower over 150 persons with Tricycles and urged them to make judicious use of it.
He advised them not to sale it, but to use it on the road to get something to fend for themselves, while urging them to always put him in their daily prayers so as to do more for them.
Speaking while taking delivery of his own gift, a beneficiary, Elder Daniel Ukaegbu who was full of joy thanked God for using the lawmaker to wipe away their tears.
Elder Ukaegbu explained that Hon Prestige is a man who has the interest of the people at heart, and described him as a humanitarian.
He described it as false the speculations making rounds that some of the beneficiaries paid some amount of money for such, adding that Hon. Ossy Prestige has been helping his family ever since he lost his sight.
Another beneficiary Mr. Kalu Uche said that since 2010 when he lost his sight, no one helped him until he came in contact with Ossy Prestige.
He thanked the lawmaker for remembering him once again after so much he has done for him, noting that he will give the Tricycle to his brother whom he said is also an operator so as to take care of it.
Mr. Uche further said that he has been a beggar for the past Nine years in Aba.
On his part, a Student of the school of the blind who said he hails from Afikpo North L.G.A of Ebonyi State, thanked Hon. Prestige for the gift and remembered how he met the lawmaker through one George Ezikpe
He prayed God to see him through in all his engagements and described him as a good man.
