Former Bayelsa Acting Governor, Nestor Binabo Is Dead | READ DETAILS
A former acting governor of Bayelsa State, Nestor Binabo, has died after a protracted illness.
Binabo who died on Thursday, June 29, was acting governor of the state between January 27 and February 14, 2012.
Before his death he was one time commissioner for youth and conflict resolution, deputy speaker, acting speaker and speaker of the Bayelsa state House of Assembly where he represented Sagbama constituency III.
In his condolence message to the family of the deceased, the Bayelsa State governor, Douye Diri, said Binabo, whom he described as a grassroots politician, will be greatly missed in the politics of the state.
The governor through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Daniel Alabrah, prayed that God will give the deceased’s family the fortitude to bear the loss.
“It is sad that the state has lost a former acting governor, foremost legislator and formidable grassroots politician.
“No one can question God why it happened. Everyone has an appointed time.
“I urge his family to be comforted by his exemplary role in politics and his impact in the development of Bayelsa. The state will greatly miss him.
“I pray for strength for the family and the grace to bear this loss” the governor’s condolence message read.
