Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has delivered a heartfelt Christmas message to Ndi Abia, emphasizing gratitude, unity, and the spirit of giving during the yuletide season.
Reflecting on the year’s journey, Governor Otti expressed his deep appreciation to Almighty God for sparing lives and enabling the people of Abia to celebrate another Christmas with family and loved ones. He underscored the essence of the season, urging citizens to embrace love, compassion, and the joy of sharing.
“We are called to reflect on the privileges and blessings showered upon us by the Creator and to share what we have with those in need because the true joy of Christmas is found in sharing, loving, and caring,” he said.
The governor extended a warm welcome to Abians returning home for the festive season, assuring them of adequate security and emergency response measures. He highlighted the administration’s achievements, including expanded road infrastructure, education reforms, healthcare initiatives, and entrepreneurship support, which have improved the lives of many across the state.
“While you are here, take the time to observe the changes that have taken place. Evidence of our development strides is all around you, as we remain committed to spreading the fruits of good governance across communities,” Governor Otti stated.
He thanked Ndi Abia for their trust and support, emphasizing that their faith in the administration’s vision has been pivotal to the state’s transformation. He called on citizens to explore ways to contribute to ongoing development initiatives, particularly in agriculture, manufacturing, and other critical sectors aimed at job creation and economic growth.
Governor Otti also appealed for moderation during the celebrations, urging everyone to prioritize safety, avoid excessive consumption of alcohol, and cooperate with road traffic management officials to ensure smooth movement across the state.
In a message of compassion, he extended comfort to those facing challenges, including individuals who lost loved ones, are hospitalized, or are unable to celebrate fully.
