The Director-General of Delta Bureau of Orientation ,Barr.E.A Uzum has called on the youths in the State to take advantage of the COVID-19 that has prevented people from having physical contact to develop themselves by acquiring skills especially in the Area of Information Technology (I.T).The Delta State Orientation boss said this while having a pally with Online Media Practitioners in his office on Monday July 27th ,2020.
Barr.E.A Uzum said he called for the pally to intimate Online Media practitioners on a program designed for the youths initiated by the Bureau of Orientation in Collaboration with the Ministry of Youths and Sports.He said the program tagged” A Day With a Role Model;Impact 2020,Youth Engagement in the New Normal” is aimed mentoring youths on how to develop themselves as well as acquire requisite skills needed to live and survive during this period of COVID-19 pandemic and Post COVID.
The Orientation D.G said the program which is slated to hold across the three senatorial zone of Delta State, has already been organized in Delta North while stressing that the present series of the program is slated to hold on Thursday 30th July,2020 at Government House Annex Office, Warri by 10:00am.He further said the Orientation Bureau in Collaboration with the Ministry of Youths and Sports has contracted resources such as Hon.Ben Rolland’s Igbakpa and Amb.Pamela Odibeli to act as facilitators during the program.
While responding to her the event is expected to hold amidst the COVID-19 that has hinder gatherings, Barr.Uzum said arrangement has,been put in place to ensure the program is aimed live on all social Media handle of the Orientation as well as other partnering mdia houses in the state.He further called upon youths to take advantage of this program and participate .
