The Nigeria Police Force has issued a wanted notice for British national Andrew Wynne and Nigerian Lucky Obiyan, accusing them of plotting to overthrow President Tinubu’s government. Their alleged activities involved building sleeper cells, orchestrating violence, and destabilizing the nation.
The Nigeria Police Force has announced the search for British national Andrew Wynne, also known as Andrew Povich, and Nigerian Lucky Obiyan, for their alleged involvement in a plot to overthrow Nigeria’s democratically elected government.
Force spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi revealed that British Wynne, operating under various aliases, had established a network of sleeper cells with the aim of destabilizing the country. Wynne is accused of using a rented space at Labour House in Abuja to front an “Iva Valley Bookshop” and set up the “STARS of Nations Schools” as a cover for his activities.
“The Nigeria Police Force has launched a thorough investigation into the activities of foreign and local elements conspiring to undermine Nigeria’s democratic governance through unconstitutional means,” Adejobi stated.
According to Adejobi, the suspects were involved in orchestrating and financing violent protests and spreading misinformation to create anarchy. Preliminary findings suggest that Wynne and his collaborators had mobilized substantial funds and resources to provoke a violent uprising aimed at discrediting the Nigerian government on an international scale.
Wynne and Obiyan, identified as key operatives in this plot, have fled the country. The police are now seeking their arrest and have initiated a global manhunt. The investigation continues as authorities aim to uncover further details and hold all involved parties accountable.
