The Nigerian Senate has passed the revised 2020 budget sent to it by President Muhammadu Buhari to the upper legislative chamber.
AFNEWS reports that the Senate increased the revised estimate from N10.59trillion to N10.805trillion.
The revised 2020 budget was passed at both the Senate plenary and at the Committee of Supplies following the consideration of the report of the Senator Barau Jibri led Committee on Appropriation.
This comes after President Buhari had, in a letter to both chambers of the National Assembly, requested the members to review the 2020 appropriation of N10.59 trillion.
