Attack On Security Agents In Abia, Govt Caution Organizations, releases security phone number

Abia State Government have directed security agencies to put in more effort in apprehending persons involved in the attack against security agents and dispossessing of their service arms in the state. This is contained in a press release made available to AFNEWS and signed by Abia State Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu.

In the release, the government also advised individuals and corporate organisations in the state to maintain high level of vigilance and take necessary measures to protect themselves, their customers and establishments, to complement the efforts of government and security agents.

Parents and guardians were equally advised to warn and monitor their children/wards to ensure they do not engage in criminal activities as the long arm of the law will surely catch up with anyone involved in criminal activities.

 

The government finally released a security phone number which residents in Abia State can use to report suspicious movements and persons.

Public Service Information

Abia State Government has received information on two separate attacks launched by yet to be identified persons against security agents who were In the process dispossessed of their service arms.

Consequently, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has directed security agencies in the state to ensure that perpetrators of the attacks are apprehended immediately and the arms recovered.

We also wish to strongly advise individuals and corporate organisations in the state to maintain high level of vigilance and take necessary measures to protect themselves, their customers and establishments, to complement the efforts of government and security agents.
