Campaign Council Inauguration: APGA Will Take Over Abia Come 2023 – Greg Ibe | REVEALS MORE
Notwithstanding the seeming confusion generated by a recent court judgement nullifying the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia state, the governorship candidate of the party, Professor Greg Ibe has maintained that APGA will take over the seat of power in the state come 2023.
Greg Ibe in his address at the inauguration of his governorship campaign council in Umuahia on Friday, charged Abians and his supporters not to entertain any atom of fear over the recent court judgement, assuring that victory will be achieved as he has appealed the judgement.
The governorship hopeful restated his commitment to rewrite the story of Abia state, noting that among other candidates, he has pedigree and has continued to contribute to the growth and development of Abia state through his investments, scholarships to over 400 students across the 17 Local Government Areas, medical outreach to more than 30,000 Abians, among others.
Speaking at the inauguration, the national chairman of APGA, Victor Ike Oye, expressed confidence that Professor Greg Ibe will become the next governor of Abia state come 2023.

He described the Federal High court judgement as a necessity which among other hurdles, will pave way for Ibe’s victory.
Oye said the High court’s judgement will not hold water at the appellate court owing to the fact that APGA’s governorship primary election held on May 29, 2022 in Abia state, “was free, fair, open, credible, transparent and Greg Ibe emerged as candidate”.
“Greg is a great man. Do not fear; He will be governor, if he becomes governor, all of you will profit” Oye added.
Earlier in his remark, the Abia state chairman of APGA, Reverend Augustine Ehiemere, maintained that Greg Ibe remains the authentic governorship candidate of the party having emerged from “a peaceful and transparent primary election”.
“We conducted our primaries peacefully and transparently and candidates for the various positions in the 2023 elections have emerged . Our primaries were adjudged the most credible and transparent” Ehiemere said.
He charged the newly inaugurated campaign council members to assiduously work together to ensure the party’s victory come 2023.
Responding, the council members through Barrister Emeka Nwachukwu (Longman), the Director General, Greg Ibe’s campaign council, pledged to discharge their duties in all honesty.
Highpoint of the event was taking of oath of office by the council members, and formal unveiling of Professor Greg Ibe’s manifesto.
