The Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency in the Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha has commiserated with the people of Isu community over the recent killing which took place there.
Speaking during his visit, the lawmaker explained that it was so shocking to him, to hear that people of his constituency were being massacred, saying that such inhumane treatment by Utuma people of Cross River State is highly regretted.
Interacting with some elders of Isu community in the Palace of Eze Mortimor Ogbonnaya, Hon. Ukoha explained that he is collaborating with security agencies and the government to see that a Police Post is built in the community, to prevent further attack. Also efforts are being made to call on the attention of the National Boundary Committee to delineate the boundary between the two states.
In their separate speeches, Chief P. O. Okorie, and other elders of the area, extolled the qualities of the lawmaker, saying that ever since he was elected, he has ensured that there is peace in Isu and prayed God to see him through in his legislative assignments, and thanked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and President Muhammadu Buhari for the relief materials they received from Abia State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
