The Abia State House of Assembly complex is now wearing a new look making tongues to wag as to the high level of face lift being giving to the building.
Story has it that the complex which was built in 1991 during the leadership of Hon. Prince Arua Arunsi as Speaker of the House has never been retouched ever since until the assumption of office by the present 7th Assembly.
A visit to the complex will readily observe that some of the glaring things there are the aesthetic nature of the place with glittering lights and the color of painting, the usual green white green which brings out the full glare of the complex, sparkling like a snow.
As one steps into the first floor of the complex and turns left, a look at the notice board, will spot the obvious pictures of the 24 members, with affixed on the notice board with their names and constituencies written on it.
No doubt, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Orji is piloting the affairs of the Assembly the way it supposed to be, little wonder at the commencement of their plenary on Monday the 23rd September 2019, and the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency Hon. Kelechi Onuzuruike while thanking the Speaker for the landmark achievement the members through his leadership have made, urged the members to pass a vote of confidence on the speaker for his good work.
Other members who praised him include Hon. Jerry Uzosike, Hon Ginger Onwusibe who expressed his happiness for what is happening in the Assembly, adding that the nature and manner the speaker have piloted the affairs of the House is a welcome development.
