The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has reiterated that he will not be distracted over issues arising from who will succeed him come 2023.
The governor stated this through a press release made available ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER and signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS) Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka.
In the press release, the governor revealed that his position on the issue of 2023 is very clear and that under no circumstances would he, nor the high office he occupies, be dragged into meaningless and mundane ethnic politics.
He maintained that he his firm and uncompromising in his belief that at every time, God will remain God and cannot be influenced by libations nor the mere wishes of an ordinary mortal.
Governor Ikpeazu further stated that as the momentum towards the 2023 elections increase, the issues that will define who the next Governor will be will remain competence, experience, pedigree and fear of God.
He urged Abians, especially the political class, to remain calm and allow the political process to continue to play its role.
