ABIA 2023: Ikonne Was A Better Candidate Than Okey Ahiwe – Ferdinand Ekeoma Reveals
Ferdinand Ekeoma, a Labour Party Chieftain and the spokesperson of Dr Alex Otti Governorship campaign council, has knocked the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia state over the Saturday, February 4, guber primary election rerun which according to him, was not free and fair.
Ekeoma who was speaking on Tuesday, alleged that some credible aspirants who contested the rerun were sidelined and a preferred candidate imposed on them.
He noted that the emergence of Chief Okey Ahiwe as the flag-bearer of the PDP is an advantage to the Labour party’s candidate, Otti, adding that late Professor Uche Ikonne was a better candidate than Ahiwe.
“It wasn’t a free and fair primary. Few credible candidates were blocked”.
“Comparing Professor Ikonne to Ahiwe is like comparing Nigeria to America.
“Prof Ikonne carried little baggage, we know the areas he failed but you cant use Abia to trade. PDP is insulting Abians.
“Ahiwe is no match to Alex Otti. Dr Alex Otti will defeat them and we will end the era of plundering ” Ekeoma stated.
According to Ekeoma, the performance of Otti as Abia state governor, will put PDP to shame.
