Anti Post Natal Bleeding Technique: Gov. Ikpeazu Lauds Esike’s Ingenuity

The Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has lauded the ingenuity of an Abia, Ochu Uzoma Esike (a medical practitioner), which led to the discovery of an Anti Post Natal Bleeding Technique.
Dr lkpeazu made this remark when he was presented with the Background to the Esike Technique: a New, Safe and Effective Life-Saving Technique for Treating Excessive Bleeding After Childbirth and Preserving The Womb, invented by the Abia born obstetrician and Gynaecologist, during a courtesy visit at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Umuahia.
He commended Esike for making the State proud through his wonderful discovery of an Anti Post Natal Bleeding Technique to help check the high mortality rate among women in the State and nation, adding that the discovery has succeeded in projecting not just himself, but the State globally in the medical field.
The Governor represented by his Deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu noted with joy that the high mortality rate among women following excessive bleeding after birth will be reduced drastically with the new and fantastic innovation and reassured the Isuikwuato born medical expert, that Government will give him all the necessary support to enable him carry out more research on the way forward in tackling problems associated with childbirth.
He further lauded his hardwork and commitment to duty which was attested by his colleagues in the Medical and Academic field and implored fellow medical personnels and stakeholders to assist him accordingly to help address the challenges of passing on the Esike’s Technique and knowledge to Doctors and other Health Workers.
In their remarks, the Chief Medical Director of Alex Ekwueme University Teaching Hospital, Dr Emeka Owen Ogah, the Provost, College of Health Sciences, Ebonyi State University, Prof P C lbekwe and the Provost, College of Medicine, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ebonyi State, Prof Paul Ezeonu expressed delight that the technique which is cost effective will help reduce excessive bleeding which is the major cause of maternal death in the world.
Presenting his Technique, the inventor, Dr Chidi Ochu Uzoma Esike who is a lecturer at the Ebonyi State University and Consultant Surgeon at the Alex Ekwueme University Teaching Hospital, Ebonyi State said the pains and trauma women pass through following excessive bleeding which often lead to death moved him to invent the Esike’s Technique that solves problem of preserving the wombs of women having excessive bleeding after childbirth and thanked all that helped him achieve this feat.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Joe Osuji, his Ministry of Youth and Sports counterpart, Chief Emeka Ikwuagwu, the Deputy Chief of Staff Office of the Deputy Governor, Sir Don Ubani,top Govt Officials, Traditional Rulers and personalities from Isuikwuato as well as Medical personnels were present during the presentation.
