Citizen Eyo Essien, who just returned to Nigeria from Jordan, narrates how SARS operatives in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, arrested, tortured and detained him after they caught him recording a raid by SARS outside his house with his mobile phone.
The SARS men used machete to torture him, collected the sum of N19,000 from him and forcefully deleted the video of the raid from his phone before releasing him. They also assaulted his girlfriend who came to visit him.
Eyo wants justice. He also said that people are treated as animals at the station at Oron Road, Uyo, where the SARS men took him to.
