There have been silent rumors on the welfare and treatments as it regards lower ranked military personnel in Nigeria.

Over the years, reports both confirmed and unconfirmed have emanated from different military personnel’s voicing out their grievances and dissatisfactions with the way senior ranked officers welfare is taken more seriously and of utmost importance than their lower colleagues by the welfare board of the military.

Some military officers have likewise alleged that they have been abandoned by military high command after sustaining injury during the war against Boko haram in the North east of Nigeria.

One of the military officers that spoke to AFNews on the condition of anonymity stated that he lost his hearing since 18th November 2018 during his involvement in the Boko Haram war and nothing has been done about it by the military.

AFNews recently received a complaint from one of the aggrieved personnel and its reads;

(Note: We posted the complaint as it was sent)
