“Are We North Korea?” – Bode George Fumes Over PDP NEC Meeting Disruption, Warns Tinubu | WATCH VIDEO

Chief Bode George has dropped a bombshell over the blocked PDP NEC meeting. His powerful words and warnings shake the party and nation. Read full now.

…. Elder statesman fumes over police lockdown of PDP Secretariat, warns of descent into dictatorship

Veteran politician and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Bode George, has exploded in outrage following the sudden disruption and stoppage of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting earlier scheduled to hold in Abuja today.

In a scathing interview with journalists, the former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP described the development as a “madness” that signals a dangerous drift toward authoritarianism, warning that such actions are reminiscent of North Korea or Russia.

“What is this madness? Are we turning Nigeria into North Korea or Russia?” George thundered. “You came to our own party office surrounded by police just because we want to hold a family meeting?”

PDP NEC Shutdown: “Voice of Jacob, Hand of Esau”

Chief George, known for his bluntness and rich political experience across both military and civilian governments, ridiculed the justification given by police operatives that they were acting on “orders from above.”

“We’ve heard this ‘orders from above’ story before. It’s the voice of Jacob but the hand of Esau,” he said metaphorically, implying that unseen political hands are trying to sabotage internal democracy within the PDP.

“PDP Is Not a Private Enterprise!”

Visibly irritated, Bode George emphasized that PDP is not a private business, but a national political institution that must be allowed to resolve its internal disagreements democratically.

“You can’t lock up the landlord and expect to kill the Iroko tree of Nigeria’s democracy. PDP is not a one-man show. If there is a domestic disagreement, we resolve it within—not with the police, and certainly not in the marketplace!”

He Warns Tinubu’s APC: “Face Nigeria’s Real Problems”

Taking a swipe at the ruling APC and its alleged role in the chaos, Bode George called on the powers that be to concentrate on fixing Nigeria’s economic, infrastructural, and educational crises, rather than meddling in PDP’s affairs.

“Instead of blocking a party office, why not fix our dying economy? We have worse problems—dollar, unemployment, education, inflation. Face that!”

Bode George’s Final Warning

As a political elder now “on the eighth floor of life,” Bode George issued a stern warning to the younger generation of politicians and those in power: allow democracy to breathe.

“Democracy is not about suppressing dissent. It is about the people’s will. Let everyone sit in their corner, prepare for a fair contest. Stop this madness before it consumes us all.”
