President Tinubu Reacts to Death of Akwa Ibom Governor’s Wife
President Bola Tinubu has reacted to the death of Pastor Patience Umo Eno, wife of Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno.
Recall that the state Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, announced the departure of the first lady in a statement issued in the early hours of Friday.
Ememobong said the first lady died on Thursday in a hospital in the presence of her family.
Reacting in a statement on Friday, President Tinubu described her passing as “shocking” and extended his heartfelt condolences to the Governor, the Eno family, and the people of Akwa Ibom state.
According to the statement signed by Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commiserated with the Governor and the people of Akwa Ibom during this difficult time. He acknowledged Pastor Patience Umo Eno’s selfless service to the state, particularly through her ‘Golden Initiative for All’ which impacted the lives of women, children, and the vulnerable.
President Tinubu praised Pastor Patience Umo Eno’s humility, resilience, and loyalty, saying her legacy will continue to inspire future generations. He committed the grieving family, friends, and relatives to the comfort of the eternal God, trusting in their resilience and strength during this challenging time.
