The Abia State National Assembly Liaison Officer, Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful in Abia State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message released on Wednesday, Chief Chinasa acknowledged the spiritual significance of Ramadan, emphasizing that the period of fasting, prayers, and self-discipline should inspire deeper reflections on unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
“As you celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, I urge you all to use this opportunity to pray for our nation, promote the spirit of accommodation, and foster peaceful coexistence,” Chief Chinasa stated. “Your prayers and supplications are vital in strengthening national unity, understanding, and mutual respect.”
He further stressed that this year’s celebration comes at a critical time when Nigeria needs collective prayers, social cohesion, and a renewed commitment to values such as compassion and tolerance. He called on Muslims to extend kindness and generosity to the less privileged, emphasizing the importance of charitable acts in nation-building.
“The essence of Ramadan is sacrifice, patience, and love. As we mark this special occasion, let us remember to share with the needy and show love to one another. The true spirit of Eid-el-Fitr lies in giving and fostering an inclusive society where everyone feels valued,” he added.
Chief Chinasa reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote interfaith harmony and peaceful cohabitation in Abia State and beyond. He urged all Nigerians to uphold the virtues of honesty, respect, and national unity, which are essential for progress and development.
“Once again, I congratulate the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of Ramadan and wish you all a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration,” he concluded.
