Acting Public Secretary and Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party Abia North Senatorial Zone, Elder Abraham Amah has opined that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) should be voted for in 2023 by Nigerians and Abians.

Abraham said this on Thursday during an interview with All Facts Television on the Program “FOCAL POINT”, stating that the PDP is the only political party that has what it takes to fix Nigeria considering the fact that it has stood the test of time and continued to remain relevant and original since its inception in 1999 till date.
He went further to say that since the government of APC came into power life had continued to remain difficult for Nigerians. He cited instances to aid his comparisons between the PDP government and the APC.
He said, “If you look at the price of a bag of rice at that time, it was moving between eight to ten thousand Naira but to today it is thirty thousand Naira, that is 300% hyper inflation in less than eight years. If you look at foreign exchange, dollar as at that time was about one hundred and fifty Naira, today dollar’s well over six hundred and fifty Naira in the black market. That again is 500% increment.
“If you look at index of ranking in countries with highest unemployment in 2015, Nigeria was at some point rated as the second fastest growing economy, at another point rated as the number one growing economy in the world. Today we are not even amongst number seventy.
“Also during those times whenever you picked up the newspapers, you’d see that banks were opening branches everywhere because of the thriving economy but that is not the case now, most banks are closing up some of their branches because of the situation of the economy.
“Coming down to Abia, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and Abia State is rated by the world bank as number one state within the sub-Saharan Africa that has done so well in the area of small and medium enterprises and then for the first time in the history of our country, Abia State came second in Foreign Directs Investment. It has never happened before.
“So these are some of the very reasons why the people should vote for the PDP government because for a candidate to win an election, he needs a national party with structure all over Nigeria. So PDP is the only party that can lift us up from this bondage the APC Government has put us in”.
