All The Money Budgeted To Education Never Gets To Schools – Peter Obi Reveals
2023 Presidential aspirant, Peter Obi had disclosed that ensuring a transformation in the educational sector in Nigeria, remains his number one priority.
Obi who featured on Arise TV Morning Show monitored by All Facts Newspaper on Tuesday, said that the more educated a country is, the more developed it will be.
He regretted that the rate of out of school children especially the girl child, has skyrocketed.
According to Obi who is aspiring under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), his visits to northern states has shown that most of the out of school children are willing to learn but relevant authorities do not want to invest in the education sector.
“All these money budgeted to education never gets to schools” the former Anambra state governor said.
He maintained that Nigeria has the resources as against claims that there are no available resources for development, questioning where the borrowed monies are being channeled to.
Further in his analysis, Obi noted that if the monies borrowed are being channeled into education, security and other sectors, in 5years, Nigeria will be developed and can proudly stand as the giant of Africa.
