2027 Is About Retirement, Not Recycling — Bourdex Fires Back at ‘Desperate Lies’, Declares Abia North Battle Line

Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex has reacted strongly to claims about his 2027 plans. What he said will reshape Abia North politics. Read full story.

Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, MFR, OON, has issued a blistering rebuttal to what he described as a false, mischievous, and deliberately misleading statement being circulated and wrongly attributed to him, insisting that he has never ruled out contesting the Abia North Senatorial seat in 2027.

In an official response made available to All Facts Newspaper, the Abiriba-born political figure dismissed the viral claims as fabricated propaganda, accusing unnamed political interests of attempting to distract, confuse, and mislead the electorate as the 2027 general elections draw closer.

Bourdex categorically denied suggestions that he was retreating from the political space or reconsidering his ambition, describing such claims as politically desperate fiction.

According to him, the narrative being pushed is not only false but also exposes growing anxiety within camps that have, in his words, “overstayed their welcome” in Abia North’s political leadership.

He stressed that he remains focused, prepared, and fully committed to offering the zone a credible alternative anchored on competence, integrity, and people-oriented leadership.

In one of the strongest portions of his statement, Bourdex took aim at what he described as the politics of entitlement, firmly rejecting the idea that political leadership in Abia North is inherited or reserved for a select few.

He stated that political relevance must be earned through results and service, not recycled titles or prolonged occupancy of public office, insisting that the people of Abia North are now more politically aware and demanding accountability.

Bourdex argued that the senatorial district has endured years of repetition without progress, adding that the rising demand for answers, results, and development has unsettled entrenched interests who rely on fear and confusion to maintain political control.

He maintained that 2027 represents a defining moment for the people of Abia North — a chance to choose between continuity of stagnation or a new era driven by vision and accountability.

Concluding his response, Bourdex urged the people of Abia North to remain alert and discerning, emphasizing that integrity, truth, and competence must guide the next electoral decision.

He warned that fabricated narratives and twisted intentions cannot suppress the truth forever, noting that history is already knocking on Abia North’s door.
