Uche Ogah is currently the Honorable Minister for Mines and Steel.
Declaring his intention on Friday, April 29, at the state Secretariat of the party, along Azikiwe road Umuahia, Ogah stated that the former reproach of Abians have become a thing of the past with his emergence, assuring that he will take the state to where it is supposed to be with his developmental visions.
According to the hopeful, his decision to run for the 2023 Guber, was after thorough consultations and the love he has for Abians to be a servant leader.
Ogah, a professional chartered accountant and businessman, expressed confidence that with his transformative nature and experiences gathered from the private and public sector, he will deliver Abia.
“My experiences in the public and private sectors has better equipped me to govern Abia in 2023.
“I have a vision of a glorious Abia.
“I am the largest employer of labor in Abia state; Abians, your light has come. Walk with me in partnership to actualize our dream; the reality is that Abia needs redemption; the glory of Abia will be restored.
“The Abia of my dream is the reinvention of a state that meets and surpasses the dreams of our founding fathers; the one in which citizens enjoys basic needs of life” the aspirant stated.
He assured that his government would provide quality services in all sectors and also provide a reporting system that will encourage accountability and feedback if given the mandate.
Responding, the State Chairman of APC, Rt. Hon. Iheanacho Obioma (Chomen) expressed happiness that Ogah came to the Secretariat to declare’ where the APC people belong”.
He described the aspirant as a man that has mastered the art of politicking and has added value to the party.
He encouraged the supporters not to loose focus as ‘ victory will come from the main stream of the party, where we belong’.
The chairman assured that all the 9 aspirants for the Guber would be given a level playing ground to contest for the best to emerge.
