Amb. Uba Chiemezuo Anyanwu, the National Director Voter Education PDP Youth Movement, has expressed confidence that Prof. Uche Ikonne will emerge the governor of Abia state come 2023.

Anyanwu while speaking on Focal Point, an AF-TV programme on Thursday, noted that the emergence of Ikonne as the PDP guber candidate of the Party in the state was divine and he would overcome all studs currently facing him.
“When you start fighting a man, God becomes interested. God is always interested in that man that is being humiliated and rejected. I am really laughing at those people who are against the interest of God in the life of Prof. Ikonne”
He noted that some persons ruled Ikonne out as a possible candidate leveraging on a statement governor Ikpeazu had made, assuring that he would not hand over governance to a younger person.
“some persons ruled prof out as one who could become the governor. That is how God works. God does His things when the world says no this guy is not going anywhere, that is where the interest of God lies.
“prof’s emergence as the PDP flagbearer for the gubernatorial seat is divine”
Anyanwu advised Ikonne to involve the youths in his governance if he emerges the next governor of the state.
