10TH NASS LEADERSHIP: South East Deserves Principal Position – Hon. Ukoha
The Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, has hinted that in all fairness, the South East geo-political zone, deserves a principal position in the incoming 10th National Assembly leadership.
The Lawmaker who stated this in a release he issued recently, explained that although the ruling APC did not get enough votes from the zone during the last general election, but that such should not be a yardstick to deny it a principal position at the National Assembly.
Hon. Ukoha, in the release, further stated that for the zone to have a sense of belonging and not feel marginalised as always perceived, it is pertinent to allow an equitable distribution of the principal positions in a way it will favour the zone.
He, however, lauded the party for deeming it fit to consider the member representing Bende federal constituency, Hon. Ben Kalu, for the Deputy Speakership position.
The Minority Whip, described Hon. Kalu, as an astute politician and a democrat whose wealth of experience as the House spokesman remains unparalleled, adding that Hon. Ben Kalu, is eminently qualified for the new role.
