Why I Joined Politics – Obinna Nwosu, ADC Candidate For Ikwuano/Umuahia Fed. Const.
Mr. Obinna Nwosu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, has revealed the motivating factors behind his entrance into politics.
Nwosu while interacting with Progressive Abia Youths (P.A.Y) led by their president, Mr Kingsley Ekejiuba in Umuahia on Monday, October 24, 2022, regretted that most persons who has the capacity to transform the society are shying away from politics, allowing ‘the bad eggs’ to continue being in power.
“and when these individuals; the right minds stay away, sometimes it gives room for the wrong type of people to jump in and make things bad for the general society” he added.
According to Nwosu, the rate of unemployment, infrastructural decay, the zeal to change the society, among others, motivated him to go into politics.
“some of us have tried to proffer commendations across various platforms but it’s not just enough unless you get involved. I just couldn’t sit back and pray for it to get perfect. It involves getting involved; being intentional, that was why I made up my mind; and said am not going to leave this political arena, am going to be here and dabble it out with some of these people and hopefully share my message to the people and let them know how I want to make life better for the society” he said.
Nwosu called on other ‘sound-minds’ to join politics if they really want to make a difference in the society.
31-year-old Obinna Nwosu is a certified National accountant, an investment analyst and a business administrator.
