The long awaited DR.BARR.OKWUN OJAH AND FAMILY FOUNDATION UNITY FOOTBALL CUP COMPETITION organised for youths of the 17 compounds in Amaekpu Ohafia kicked off on Sunday 4th October 2020 at the recently modernized Ofali Agwu primary school play field Amaekpu Ohafia.
The opening ceremony of the talent hunt event which witnessed a very large turnout was ceremonially kicked off by the Transition Chairman of Ohafia Local Government Area Hon.Chief Fred Eke Idika who took the kick- off at 5:00 p.m.
The opening match featured the Nde Umuozio youth versus Amoba youth (Nde Nnachi/Nde Nkole). The match ended 1:0 in favour of Amoba youths (Nde Nnachi/Nde Nkole).
The first and only goal was scored by OBINNA UKOHA of our AMOBA at exactly 12 minutes into the game. A total of 4 yellow card were awarded during the game out of which 3 yellow cards awarded against Amoba while Nde Umuozio received 1 yellow card .
The center referee ,Mr. Chinedu Okowu who was assisted by Mr Ben Udo and Mr. NTUSA blew the final whistle to signal the end of the game at exactly 6:05pm .
At the end of the game Mr MONDAY MBA was adjudged the man of the match .The tournament is being sponsored by an Australian base philanthropist , Chief Dr. Barr. Okwun Ojah (ONWA OHAFIA)from Amaekpu Ohafia .more update of future matches coming.
