Ukoha Unity Cup Competition: Aro Ward 1 Defeats Ohafor 1

The first fixture of the quarter-final stage in the ongoing competition ” Ukoha Unity Cup” was played on Sunday (25/01/2021).
Aro Ward 1 and Ohafor ward 1 (Abam) competed for their progression to the semi-final stage at ASCETA field.

The match commenced by 4:40pm as there were unprecedented delays.

Ifeanyi Rock opened the scoring for Aro Ward 1 with a spot kick resulting from a hand ball inside the penalty area at the 23rd minutes. The first period of the game ended by 5:23pm.

The second half started by 5:34pm and 13 minutes later, Otusi Gabriel scored the second goal for Aro Ward 1 (Arochukwu) to make their lead comfortable.

Sunday Okoronkwo of Aro Ward 1 bagged a yellow card for a hard tackle he didn’t have to make in the 16th minute of the second half. And also in the 19th minute, Sunday Sylvester got a yellow card for tripping his opponent.

The match ended by 6:13pm with an end score of 2-0 in favour of Aro Ward 1. The match was peaceful and injury free.

In the ongoing quarter-final stage, on Friday (29th January, 2021), Ututu ward will tackle Eleoha Ihechiowa, at ASCETA.
