An Italian Publication, Corriere della Sera has revealed why Nigerian International player, Victor Osimhen is overvalued by his Italian Serie A side, Napoli in the transfer windows.
The 23-year-old striker who has spent two seasons in Stadio Diego Armando Maradona of Napoli has been linked to several league sides in a big-budget move.
Heavyweights like Premier League’s Manchester united, Newcastle United, Liverpool, Arsenal,and LaLiga’s Real Madrid are currently vying for the Lagos-born.
According to Corriere della Sera, the high-priced deal is an attempt by Napoli to fend off bidders.
The Serie A gaints management has placed a luxe €100m on Osimhen ,€20m beyond the cost of signing the player from French side, Lille two years ago.
Corriere della Sera said;
“His value is €60m and remains today the same as it was two years ago, when he was taken over from Lille, but there are those from England who goes further to make sure De Laurentiis raises to €100,”
Too much? It is certainly a strategy to lock the centre forward of the future.”
The sportsman doubles as a striker for the Nigerian men’s team, Super Eagles and Napoli.
